For immediate danger, fire, a missing child, severe injury or urgent medical concern: call 911 and alert Family Rush staff immediately.
1. Stop and protect
- Stop the activity and keep other participants away.
- Do not move an injured person unless remaining in place creates immediate danger.
- A trained staff member begins the approved response within their training.
2. Call and communicate
- Call 911 when emergency help may be needed.
- Give the venue name, exact entrance and best access route.
- Send an adult to meet responders when safe.
- Notify the child's participating adult or guardian immediately.
3. Weather and evacuation
- Activities stop for lightning, high wind, extreme heat, heavy rain, unsafe surfaces or a venue evacuation order.
- Follow staff directions to the designated shelter or exit. Do not return for personal items.
- Keep the emergency aisle and responder access route clear.
4. After the immediate response
- Preserve the scene and equipment when safe.
- Identify adult witnesses without discussing blame.
- Submit an incident report or complete the paper form.
- Do not post names, photos or incident details on social media.
